Quick answers
Is HairUp a medical diagnosis?
No. HairUp provides evidence-informed education, estimates and tracking. It does not diagnose a condition, prescribe treatment or replace professional medical care.
Where is my information stored?
Your profile, routine, check-ins and progress are stored locally on your device. The app does not require an account.
How can I delete my data?
Open HairUp, go to Settings, then choose “Reset HairUp”. This removes your profile, routine, check-ins and progress from the device.
How do I manage notifications?
Open HairUp Settings to change reminders. If notifications are blocked, use the “Open Settings” option to review the iOS permission.

Information handled by the app
HairUp lets you enter information about your hair and family history; habits, including medical or product routines; check-ins and notes; shedding, sudden or patchy changes and scalp discomfort; treatment feedback and side effects; and routine progress. This information is used on your device to create educational estimates, recommendations and tracking summaries.
Storage and sharing
App data is stored locally on your device. HairUp does not require an account and does not sell your personal information.
If you contact the HairUp developer through this form, we collect your name, email address, selected topic and message so we can answer and maintain support records. Netlify processes the submission on our behalf and may process technical metadata needed to deliver and protect the form.
Notifications
If you allow notifications, HairUp schedules reminders through iOS. You can change or revoke this permission in the app or in iOS Settings.
Retention and deletion
You can delete app data at any time from HairUp Settings by selecting “Reset HairUp”. Support requests are retained only as long as reasonably needed to respond and maintain support records. You may request deletion of a support message by submitting a new request with the topic “Privacy or data” and identifying the email address used in the original request.
Medical information
HairUp is for education and self-tracking only. It is not a medical device and does not provide a diagnosis or treatment.
